Unfortunately, during the past 30 years, iodine levels have dropped 50 percent in the United States, leading to massive increases in thyroid diseases and breast cancer. In my medical practice, I've found that more than 95 percent of my new patients are deficient in iodine. You've probably heard about the relationship between iodine and your thyroid.
