Q&A: IS THERE SUCH THING AS COLORED ACE BANDAGES?

Question by amberr22.:
Is there such issue as colored ace bandages?

I broke my leg and require ace bandages to hold my splint in location, just hunting for a little color! If there is such, exactly where can i uncover it?

  • Supportive steel springs aid protect against inversion sprains
  • Single layer of material over ankle bones provides a a lot more cozy fit
  • Full back elastic for achilles tendon comfort
  • Fits women’s shoe size ten – 12 men’s 8 – ten

Rating:

SALE Price: $ 22.95

USERS REVIEWS:

The brace is trim I find it does not interfere with my shoes at all. It goes on comfortably, doesn’t overheat too considerably. Gives a great range of motion for flexion of the foot, but you can really feel a resistive force that recommends it will not permit a lot a lot more than that. It gives transverse influence resistance, but doesn’t do a lot to stop damage from a mis-step: the elastic bottom indicates if you misstep onto the side of your foot, your ankle has full freedom of motion to twist that way.

I’ve bought two of these. 1 of them tore right away on reciept, the elastic back coming free of charge of its stitching. Closer examination recommends the stitching is just not that excellent it doesn’t seem to be reinforced, double stitched, or anything else. Appears unnecessarily flimsy for a sports item meant to be exposed to some abuse. The second I have worn much less frequently, but hasn’t provided me any problems.

All in all, it’s not bad for soccer (though stitching is flimsy relative to its cost). Outside of soccer I would not believe of employing it as an ankle brace, as most of its protection is in the kind of side impact protection (I’m seeking at you, APT prowriststraps.com, who sells this exact ankle brace below the name “ALL SPORTS brace”, which this brace most decidedly is not.)

[0]decora writes "NPR, and dozens of other media sources, are reporting
that NSA IT whistleblower Thomas Andrews Drake is [1]innocent of all 10
original charges against him; including the 5 Espionage Act charges for
'retention' of 'national defense information.' Drake stared down the
government to the last minute, rejecting deal after deal, because he
'refused to plea bargain with the truth.' The judge had even recently
ruled that there was [2]no evidence that Drake passed classified
information to a reporter. In the end, he has agreed that he committed a
misdemeanor: 'unauthorized access to a computer.' It is unknown what this
means for the other non-spy espionage cases that Obama's DOJ currently
has pending ([3]Kim, [4]Sterling, [5]Manning), or the Grand Jury that is
currently meeting to discuss [6]Espionage Act charges related to

Haedrian writes "Apple is famous for going to absurd lengths to enforce
its patents and trademarks. It recently sued Amazon for calling its app

Gamespot spoke at length with id Software's John Carmack at E3 about
upcoming FPS RAGE (which is now only a few months away from release), as
well as [0]his thoughts on the new console offerings revealed by Nintendo
and Sony. He seems optimistic about the Wii U, and rather less so about
the Vita. "But you know the technology level on [the Wii U] brings it up
to parity with the other consoles, which is nice for us. Previously, the
Wii was not a target. Id Tech 5 was just not suitable for the Wii at all.
... now that we're looking at another platform that is eminently suitable
for the technology, I'm sure we're going to try and bring it up on
there." On the other hand, Carmack and Tim Willits both expressed
concerns about [1]whether Nintendo users were the right demographic for
id games. Of the Vita, he said, "I wouldn't want to be the executive
making the decision to launch a new portable gaming machine in the
post-smartphone world. I think that they've picked as eminently a
suitable hardware spec as they could for that. ... But of course, by the
time they actually ship, there may be smartphones or these tablets with
twice as much power as what they're shipping with on there. And a year or
two after that, it's going to look pretty pokey."

[0]Hugh Pickens writes "The LA Times reports that the Los Angeles Police
Commission has voted to [1]kill the city's controversial red-light camera
program, rejecting claims that the system makes streets safer while
costing the city nothing. The police department says the cameras help
reduce accidents, largely by deterring drivers looking to run red lights
or make illegal turns while critics of the technology question officials'
accident data, saying the cameras instead cause rear-end collisions as
drivers slam on their brakes and liken the cameras to Big Brother tactics
designed to generate revenues. More than 180,000 motorists have received
camera-issued tickets since the program started in 2004 but the
commission estimates that the program costs between $4 million and $5
million each year while bringing in only about $3.5 million annually.
Members of the public who attended the meeting urged the commission to do
away with the cameras, which trigger seemingly boundless frustration and
anger among drivers in traffic-obsessed LA. 'It's something that angers
me every time I get in my car,' says Hollywood resident Christina Heller.
'These cameras remove our fundamental right in this country to confront
our accuser. And [2]they do not do anything to improve safety.'"

suraj.sun sends this excerpt from Ars Technica: "If you pull out your
cell phone to make a video of police officers arresting a suspect, are
you 'secretly recording' them? 'No' seems like the obvious answer, but
that's [0]precisely the claim that three police officers made to justify
their arrest of a Boston man. In arguments before the US Court of Appeals
for the First Circuit on Wednesday, the city also denied the man's claim
that his First or Fourth Amendment rights had been violated. The case
will be an important test of whether the Constitution protects
individuals' right to record the police while they are on duty. Many
states have 'one-party notification' wiretapping laws that allow any
party to a conversation to secretly record it. But under the strict
'two-party notification' laws in Massachusetts, it's a crime to 'secretly
record' audio communications unless 'all parties to such communication'
have given their consent. The police arrested Glik for breaking this law.
For good measure, they also charged Glikwho did no more than stand a few
feet away with his cell phonewith 'aiding the escape of a prisoner' and
'disturbing the peace.'"
