Reviews: DO ANTACIDS HELP LESSEN SYMPTOMS OF GASTRITIS OR COLITIS?

DO ANTACIDS HELP LESSEN SYMPTOMS OF GASTRITIS OR COLITIS?

Question by Steven TJ:
Do antacids help lessen symptoms of gastritis or colitis?

I was diagnosed with haemorrhagic gastritis and I occasionally wonder if it was induced by too much acid in the stomach. Does taking antacid solve the issue?

——————————————

Answer by knicname
Since you are acquiring bleeding, it seems like you might have a bacteria referred to as H. Pylori that can cause bleeding ulcers.

If you have mild gastritis, antacids might provide swift pain relief.
If your gastritis is a lot more severe, you might possibly require an acid inhibitor like Pepcid, Zantac, Axid.
If those do not perform , MDs give Proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec, Achiphex, Protonix, Prevacid, Nexium.

Also prevent fried, fatty foods alcohol smoking get workout attempt to manage stress.
Get blood test for H. Pylori & get retested right after therapy to make confident it’s gone.

Google: mayo clinic>>diseases>>gastritis

Feel better.
