Hi everyone, Katie is off tonight. I'm Russ Mitchell.

We begin the broadcast this Labor Day with jobs. President Obama wants 50 billion dollars to rebuild roads and railways, but will his plan fly? CBS News Senior White House Correspondent Bill Plante will have the latest. We'll also have analysis from CBS News Senior Political Analyst Jeff Greenfield. For more on this story, Click Here.

Also tonight, a new Hurricane watch. Will the Texas-Mexico border be hit with another big storm? For the latest on the path of the storm, Click Here. CBS News Hurricane consultant, Dave Bernard will have this story.

Then, turning overseas, in Kabul today, government officials sought to ease a crisis at Afghanistan's biggest bank. But it's a tough sell, since President Karzai's family and political cronies are seen as the root of the problem. CBS News Correspondent, Mandy Clark reports from the Afghan capital.

Next, nearly 1.8 million Americans with peanut allergies live with the threat of dangerous reactions ranging from hives to anaphylactic shock. To reduce the risk, more than 4,000 schools in the United States ban peanuts. But now. . .new research is showing the culprit may also be the cure. CBS News Correspondent, Byron Pitts has that story.

Finally tonight, we look at an alternative kind of therapy. . . surfing. Why are some doctors telling patients to grab a board and hang ten? The Early Show's Hattie Kauffmann explains.

Australia now has bragging rights to two new national treasures: 17-year-old Jessica Watson and her little pink sailboat named Ella. At the age of 16, Jessica Watson became the youngest person to sail unassisted around the world. She set sail from Sydney on October 18, 2009 and returned back to her homeport on May 15th of this year. Watson's newly published book, True Spirit tells the story of her incredible eight month adventure. Watson will give you a first-hand account of her amazing journey tomorrow morning. You won't want to miss her exciting story -- we hope you'll make an appointment to watch.

A record number of people are making Hardship Withdrawals, from their retirement accounts to hold off on a foreclosure; pay college tuition, credit card debt or to buy a home. We often correlate weight loss with good health. But losing weight alone does not guarantee a healthier check-up the next time you visit the doctor. According to a new study, just because you're shedding those pounds, that doesn't mean your health is in the best possible condition. The newly released report reveals that some low-carb diets can actually increase your risk for cancer and even death. In Tuesday morning's Healthwatch, CBS News Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton will take a closer look at the truth behind low-carb diets. She'll separate fact from fiction and also provide tips on how you can incorporate healthy low-carb choices into your diet.

Amelia Lamoscatella, an avid lifelong baseball fan, was attending a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game in St. Petersburg, Florida when she was hit in the face with a foul ball. The young woman only badly bruised her chin and an apologetic first base coach gave her the ball. . .which was just the first of a few for the injured fan. With the help of a very lucky baseball glove -- which she brings with her to every game -- Amelia rallied and caught TWO more fly balls in the very SAME inning! In an Early Show exclusive, Amelia will show you her lucky glove and tell you what it was like to catch, not one but three foul balls in just one game.
